Basic Firearms Safety Class. This class teaches beginners to safely handle, load & unload, store, and transport handguns as well as Mass. Firearms Laws, Tasers, Stun Guns, Pepper Spray and how to apply for your Mass. Firearms License. Held in a classroom, this non-live-fire safety training is a prerequisite for a MA License to Carry (LTC) or Firearms Identification Card (FID). Call Club‘s main number 978-774-9870 follow prompts to request a seat for class. Cost is $80 for club members and their immediate family members and $100 for non members. Only Cash or checks made out to Danvers Fish & Game accepted. Fee payable that day. Taught by experienced certified instructors

This is a BYOB event. Please send hunting/fishing photos to menowak@comcast.net to be included in the photo presentation.

This Shoot is open to all female members, their female family members and friends, male member’s female family and female friends, shooters must be at least 18 yoa. You do not need a Firearms License to compete. Competitors must be pre-registered for the event via the Club’s Event Registration section on the Club’s Website. A $5.00 entry fee is due on the day of the shoot, exact change is appreciated.
A safety briefing will take place prior to the competitors firing, all competitors must attend the safety briefing. Competitors will fire 10 rounds with a .22 handgun and 10 rounds with a .22 rifle- the combined score of both targets will determine the overall score, competitors will put their names on their pistol and rifle targets before firing. Shooters may use their own or a borrowed.22 pistols and their own or a borrowed .22 riles. Pistols with red dot or optics will shoot at targets at 50 feet and rifles with red dots or optics will shoot at 50 yards. Open sight pistols will shoot at 21 feet and open sight rifles at 25 yards. No artificial rests are allowed in shooting rifles; rifle shooters may use their elbows on the shooting bench for support. In case of a tie, the competitors will fire another 20 round combined score of pistols and rifles until there is one 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place winner.
Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be issued as well as prizes.
There will be Range Safety Officers/Coaches to maintain safety and assist competitors and spot their shots via spotting scopes. Again, this is a fun shoot, you don‘t need a lot of experience- bring someone to coach you or one of the RO‘s can coach you- Come on down and have some fun.Any questions or if help needed in registration contact Ron Witten at rwwitten1@msn.com

Saturday May 16, 9am-finish Any center fired rifle -any sights are allowed but optics are encouraged – 10 shots from the bench using rests at 100 yards 5 shooters per relay at $5.00 per relay, payable that morning- shooters may enter multiple relays Registration starts at 9AM- shooters will be handed their targets and will place their name on them and indicate which relay and bench they want to shoot at followed by a Safety Briefing & Match Procedure Briefing and Match starts at 10AM. Shooters will have 10 minutes to set up- set & adjust rests, spotting scopes, adjust shooting positions, etc; They will then lock actions open, insert chamber flag and stand behind the safety line. Range Officers will place the shooter’s targets at the 100 yard line. Shooters will be given the command to begin; they will then fire their 10 shots. Match is open to all members and their guests (limit of 2) If you wish to participate you must pre register yourself and any guests via the club’s events page.
