DFGC Photo Requirements for Photo ID Access Cards 2021
If you would like to submit your own photo, please adhere to our following requirements to do so.
THESE STEPS ARE VERY IMPORTANT!
Keep in mind that we are looking for a high-quality photo from the shoulders up. This method to achieve consistency with all member photos.
Here are a few good tips on how to take your access card photo:
Stand in front of a white background. If you do not have any white walls, you can get a large sheet of white paper or poster board to tape up on the wall (make sure the edges of your paper and any tape you used are not visible in your photo). We cannot digitally alter the background to make it white.
Stand near a window on a sunny day for the best light. Do not stand in direct sunlight, because you cannot have any shadows in the photo. In any light, using a flash is a great way to avoid shadows behind your head.
Have a friend take a close-up photo of your head — selfies are not acceptable.
Should you not be able to meet these requirements, we will be happy to take your photo on-site during a scheduled event. Events are posted in Upcoming Events on the member portal.
Each member will be issued 1 electronic key card. If lost, please notify us immediately. The replacement card fee is $20.00.
